Your Place or Mine? 2008

Your Place or Mine? is an American television game show that ran for six weeks on TLC. It was hosted by Cameron Mathison. Each episode featured two families competing to win several completely furnished rooms for their respective homes. Designated locations in each house needing an overhaul are identified prior to the show and shots of both are shown as the "before" images. Although the furnishings were the same regardless of which family wins a room, the two physical rooms were unlikely to be similar, so a designer presumably came up with a layout which would work for each in advance.

Dear Green Place 2007

Dear Green Place is a Scottish comedy programme set in a park in central Glasgow. It first aired on 19 October 2007 on BBC One Scotland. The second series finished airing on 5 December 2008 on the same channel. Dear Green Place was created by comedy actor Paul Riley, and features Ford Kiernan, both of whom featured in the sketch show Chewin' the Fat, and its successful sitcom spin-off Still Game. It was announced in April 2009 that BBC Scotland would not be commissioning a third series due to poor viewing figures and also having commissioned a new series of Rab C. Nesbitt and Ford Kiernan's new sitcom Happy Hollidays.

1,000 Places to See Before You Die 2007

1000 Places to See Before You Die is a documentary series that aired on the Travel Channel as well as Discovery HD Theater in 2007. The show, hosted by Albin and Melanie Ulle, travels around the world to showcase some of the Earth's vast beauty. The program also explores the diverse cultures of several amazing countries and approximately 100 of the 1,000 Places from the book, with an eye towards unearthing local charms and traditions.

Egoli: Place of Gold 1992

Egoli: Place of Gold is a long-running bilingual South African soap opera which first aired on M-Net on 6 April 1992. South African television's first daily soap opera, on 3 December 1999 Egoli became the first South African television program in any genre to reach 2,000 episodes. As of 3 August 2007, 4,000 episodes had aired. Egoli: Place of Gold aired its final episode on 31 March 2010, after 18 years of acting from South African and international actors. The series was set in Johannesburg, which is sometimes referred to as eGoli. Egoli was created by Franz Marx. The show is known in Afrikaans as Egoli: Plek van Goud. Egoli was "aimed at women of all nationalities between the ages of 25 and 45, with middle or upper incomes." The series aired Monday to Friday at 18:00. However on from April 2009, M-Net moved Egoli to the 18:30 timeslot. The series had a large following, and "Egoli Spectaculars" were held countrywide each year for fans of the series to meet the cast. These spectaculars offered publicity for the series but also raised money for charity.

Dave's Place 1965

Dave's Place was a national Australian weekly musical variety television show starring Dave Guard, formerly of The Kingston Trio and The Whiskeyhill Singers. Guard as host was joined each Sunday night with Dave's Place Group, performing several folk songs. The series was set in a tropical South Pacific tea house, where popular folk guest performers entertained on the club's small stage. Queenie Paul, the well-known Australian comedian, played the recurring part of an out-of-touch, aged bar fly who was seen preferring to watch TV than to engage in the show. Glamorous, exotic hostesses served the patrons while they listened to the folk and jazz ensembles. The showed was telecast in 1965 for thirteen episodes.

The Time, The Place was a British audience participation talk show that was produced by a number of different ITV compaines,and broadcast live on ITV from 1987-1998. TTTP was presented by Mike Scott from 1987–1993 and by John Stapleton from 1991-1998. Henry Kelly also presented the programme for a period before Stapleton took over full time.

Return to Peyton Place 1972

Return to Peyton Place is an American daytime soap opera which aired on NBC from April 3, 1972 to January 4, 1974. The series was a spin-off of the primetime drama series Peyton Place rather than an adaptation of the 1959 novel of the same name by Grace Metalious. The storylines from the daytime show were a continuation of those from the primetime series. Both James Lipton and Gail Kobe worked as writers on the series during its run. Frank Ferguson, Evelyn Scott, and Patricia Morrow reprised their roles from the earlier series. Selena Cross, a major character in the original novel and the films both it and its sequel inspired, had not been included in the primetime TV series because her storyline was considered too risque at the time. She was a featured character in the daytime soap.

A Place of Our Own is a daily program about child care that airs on Public Broadcasting Service, produced in Los Angeles by KCET. It was hosted by Debi Gutierrez and has been recently hosted by Elizabeth Sanchez. The Spanish-language version is Los Niños en Su Casa, seen on PBS and on the Spanish-language public television network V-me. Their version is hosted by Alina Rosario. This program is produced by KCET in association with Sesame Workshop and 44 Blue Productions. The tagline is "You are your child's first teacher". Friday editions feature a "Week in Review", about the daily week, Monday-Thursday, similar to the review on Learn to Read.
